Subject Leaders' Development Meeting

These meetings are aimed at Science Curriculum Leaders.  They are open to all institutions and relevant to those providing secondary level qualifications in science.

All are held at The Keyworth Centre, Skellingthorpe Road, Lincoln LN6 0EP 9:15am-3:30pm

The November session will include discussions around the 2019 exam results and Julian Clarke will be presenting during the day.

Julian is the new Head of Curriculum – Science at AQA and previously an independent education consultant and Senior Adviser for Science and STEM with the government funded National Strategies for school improvement. As part of this role, he was actively engaged in supporting the STEM agenda, leading a research team investigating the factors impacting upon progression to Post 16 science courses; he was also responsible for leading the development of materials to support schools to improve the performance of their students at GCSE through effective use of interactive teaching strategies.
Julian has developed and delivered highly evaluated training and support to science teachers, subject leaders, science consultants / advisers and other partners working in the STEM/science education field for 20 years, having previously been a science teacher and head of department.
