Teaching Key Stage 1 Science
Sessions: Monday 22nd February 1-2:30pm, Thursday 25th February 9-11am
This course will provide a manageable approach to planning and teaching primary science in key stage 1 (KS1). You will explore ways of bringing the KS1 curriculum to life through practical ideas and discussion tasks. Carefully planned gap tasks have been designed to help you prepare for the year ahead and enable you to develop effective learning opportunities for the children in your class.
Back to school: Leading Primary Science
Sessions: Monday 8th March 1-3pm, Wednesday 10th March 4-6pm
This course will ensure participants are familiar with the expectations of the National Curriculum and will enable them to develop this to suit the needs of their school community. The course will support subject leaders to clearly define the intent of their curriculum and enable them to effectively support teachers to implement it successfully.
Primary Science for NQTs
Sessions: Monday 22nd March 9-10:15am, Tuesday 30th March 9-10:30am
This course will provide you with a manageable approach to planning and teaching primary science. On this course you will explore the requirements of the primary science curriculum, improve your subject knowledge, plan exciting lessons and build your confidence in teaching practical science activities.
Teaching Lower Key Stage 2 Science
Sessions: Monday 22nd March 1-3pm, Tuesday 30th March 1-3pm
Get ready to return to your classroom with the tools and confidence to plan and enable effective learning for children in your class. You will develop your approaches to planning and teaching primary science in lower KS2 and explore ways to bring the curriculum to life through practical ideas and discussion tasks.
